Ketmade

Hello!

My name is Katrin.

I am a professional artist, art therapist, ceramist and poet. The author of Trypil postcards, the calendar `Trypil wonder-2012`, illustrator of children books and Master of stained glass painting.

I am a certified art teacher and experienced curator, educated at the specialized School of Arts, the National Technical University "Igor Sikorsky, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" of Ukraine. For 10 years, I've been working as the head of a creative group for children and adults.

All my works are symbolic and carry certain meanings and information. In my art, I use ancient symbols of Tripoli culture, which allows me to tell you about our culture.

Currently I perform workshops and lessons in the Netherlands for all kinds of Dutch and Ukrainian organisations, in creating art that gives joy, protects and inspires!

You are welcome on my website! 💙💛

The project `100 birds for peace`

Currently I am exhibiting my art project ‘Hundred Birds for Peace’ at Art gallery De Statenhoed in Twello.

I undertake this project - as with most of my art work - to offer direct support to Ukraine. Ideal for a gift or as a present!

The big ones will be € 35,--, the small ones: € 25,--.
50% of the proceeds will go to my country at war.

You can visit the gallery on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.

You are welcome!

Love, Katrin Poliarush

My Latest Post

(Here you'll see my latest post. That might be a Video or a Reel, or a piece of my Finished Art work.
Or - to keep you posted! - a piece of Art work I'm currently working on...)

'Exhibition Ukrainian Soul'

From 6 to 22 February 2026, I organised the exhibition ‘Ukrainian Soul’ at the ‘De Statenhoed’ gallery in Twello.

An exhibition by Ukrainian artists dedicated to cultural identity, creative resilience and the search for meaning in circumstances of forced emigration.

Eleven Ukrainian artists took part in the exhibition, representing various movements in traditional and contemporary art. Among the works on display were embroidery, pottery, motanka dolls, Petrykivka painting, as well as contemporary painting, appliqué and glass painting. These art forms combine Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage with the artists’ individual experiences.

Most of the participants in the exhibition currently live in the Netherlands, having moved there as a result of Russia’s large-scale war against Ukraine. For them, creativity has become a form of inner support, a way to maintain a connection with their roots and a means of processing new life experiences.

I would like to thank all those who took part:

Olha Kovalova, Julia Ilkiv, Kateryna Poliarush, Tetiana Dobrovolska, Olena Kravchun, Victoria Dolhikh, Viktoriia Kartashova, Oksana Fursa, Olha Andrushchenko, Kateryna Savenko, Olga Latsun. 💙💛
